Who Played Raoul in Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary?

As I stepped onto the stage for the first time, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. Little did I know that this would be the start of my journey as an actor, specifically playing the role of Raoul in the iconic musical, Phantom of the Opera. The 25th anniversary tour of the show was a special one, and I'm thrilled to have been a part of it.

Looking back, I never thought I'd end up on stage, let alone playing such a iconic character as Raoul. Growing up, I was more interested in sports than theater. In fact, I was quite the athlete, starring in football and soccer games in my hometown. My parents, who were both professionals - my mom an attorney and dad an engineer - didn't need much convincing once they saw me shine on stage.

My introduction to musical theater came when I was 11 years old and my grandmother took me to see Phantom of the Opera at The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio. That show left a lasting impression on me, and I must have been glued to it because my grandmother still remembers how excited I was. She tells the story that I was leaning forward, completely engaged with the performance.

Fast forward to my teenage years, where I suffered a sports injury - tearing my ACL while playing soccer. This forced me to take a break from athletics, and it's during this time that my friend suggested I audition for our school's production of Oklahoma. It was just something to do while recovering, but little did I know that this would be the start of my journey in musical theater.

After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, I went straight into this show, which was a wild ride indeed. My parents and teachers were incredibly supportive throughout my journey, encouraging me to pursue my newfound passion for acting.

As Raoul, I had the privilege of playing opposite the mysterious Phantom, who haunts the Paris Opera House for the love of Christine. It's been an incredible experience, and I feel grateful to have been a part of this iconic show's 25th anniversary tour.

Looking back, it's amazing how life can take unexpected turns, leading you down paths you never thought you'd take. Who would have thought that a sports injury would lead me to discover my talent in musical theater? It's been an incredible journey so far, and I'm excited to see where this path takes me next.
